JAG Application Process

​​​​​Based on population and crime rates, $2 million in federal funds is available to units of local government and nonprofit organizations through the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program, which is the leading source of federal justice funding to agencies serving the criminal justice system. Funds may be used to hire additional personnel and/or purchase equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems. 

The funding application is now open for review and public comment until 6:00 p.m. EST on May 30, 2024.
