​​​​​​​The Facial Recognition Technology Work Group Council was established in 2022 Regular Session Senate Bill 176 and is tasked with drafting and making publicly available a model facial recognition technology policy for use by law enforcement agencies, as guided by the provisions of the bill. The model policy will be made available by January 1, 2024. ​
