The Professional Standards Committee is one of three committees of the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council. The committee meets quarterly during the law enforcement council meetings in February, May, August and November. The Professional Standards Committee reviews the following during their quarterly meetings:
The Form Q (503 KAR 1:140, Section 2) must be completed by each agency to notify the KLEC office as to who will conduct their pre-employment testing. The form must be completed once unless changes occur to your agency’s testing process. You should call the KLEC office prior to submitting this form. No testing can be completed or certification issued to an agency’s applicant if this form has not been submitted.
Peace Officer Physical Agility Test Reports from approved agencies (503 KAR 1:140, Section 6). This process is now in LETRS and can be reported by the agency.
Revocations of certified peace officers or court security officers if not convicted of any Felony; a Misdemeanor under KRS 510.120, 510.130 or 510.140, a second or subsequent offense under KRS 510.148; or a Criminal Attempt, Conspiracy, Facilitation, or Solicitation to commit any degree of Rape, Sodomy, Sexual Abuse, or Sexual Misconduct; or have had any offense listed under this Subsection expunged. (KRS 15.382) (KRS 15.386, Subsection 5). Any felony convictions or any circumstances of the above, should be reported to the KLEC office.
