Marjorie Stanek, Director
Marjorie L. Stanek is the Director of the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet's Grants Management Division (GMD) and Criminal Justice Statistical Analysis Center (CJSAC). Dr. Stanek has been involved in research and service provision for victims of intimate partner violence since 2003, and has worked at the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet since 2012. During her enrollment as a graduate student at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Marjorie worked as a research assistant on a National Institute of Justice funded study of batterer intervention programs. Upon graduation with a Master's degree of Sociology, Marjorie was employed as a Family Advocate and Grant Administrator at Greenhouse 17 in Lexington, Kentucky for 7 years. Marjorie completed the coursework for a Masters of Public Health at the University of Kentucky, and is Certified in Public Health through the National Board of Public Health Examiners. In December, 2020, Marjorie received her PhD from the University of Kentucky. She resides in Lexington.
