JAG Application Process

Based on population and crime rates, more than $2.3 million in federal funds has been allocated to Kentucky through the FY25 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program, the leading source of federal justice funding for agencies serving the criminal justice system. Funds may be used to hire additional personnel and/or purchase equipment, supplies, contractual support, training, technical assistance, and information systems.

The funding application is now open for review and public comment until 6:00 p.m. EST on June 12, 2026.
